Park City Bike Demos is proud to announce a new SRAM Eagle & RockShox partnership. We’ll be using 12-speed Eagle drivetrains and RockShox suspension on all our new house-spec’d mountain bikes. We’re starting to buy framesets from selected manufacturers so we can build trail bikes to our own spec and those bikes will all feature the SRAM Eagle 12-speed drivetrain along with other SRAM and RockShox components.

SRAM Eagle 12-Speed On the Trail

We’re big fans of SRAM Eagle & RockShox products and we’ve been huge fans of SRAM’s 1x drivetrains ever since they were first launched. Despite initial skepticism, everyone found the 1x drivetrain worked great for any kind of mountain biking short of professional cross-country racing. And anything that can be done to make mountain bikes lighter, simpler and more intuitive, i.e., more fun, is a good thing. SRAM’s new 12-speed Eagle drivetrain definitely makes a good thing even better. Yeah, the huge 50-tooth cog looks weird at first but it works really well and the 500% gear range makes climbing stupid easy. That’s great for beginners and it makes big mountain climbing possible on heavier enduro and super-enduro bikes. The bottom line is, SRAM Eagle makes mountain bikes more fun.

RockShox Pike Fork
As part of our new partnership with SRAM and RockShox, all PCBD house-spec bikes will have either the RockShox Pike or the RockShox Lyrik fork.

Along with the fantastic Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, all of our house-spec’d bikes will feature the latest RockShox Pike and Lyrik suspension forks. The RockShox Pike and Lyrik have been the most popular forks for trail, enduro and freeride bikes for the past few years. And rightly so, because they’re light, stiff, reliable and easy to use with excellent feel and support on any kind of trail or terrain. You just can’t go wrong with the Pike and Lyrik.

Our first house-spec bike, the Felt Virtue FRD 29er trail bike, with SRAM Eagle XO1 12-speed drivetrain, Thomson dropper post, RockShox Pike fork and Reynolds Enduro carbon wheelset.

The first SRAM Eagle & RockShox house-spec’d bikes we will offer for sale and rent are the Felt Virtue FRD 29er trail bike and the Felt Decree FRD 27.5 trail bike. Both bikes feature Felt’s top-of-the-line FRD carbon frames. Felt’s FRD TeXtreme carbon fiber is generally considered the best in the bike industry, with the best strength-to-weight ratio available. We’re really excited to be able to offer these bikes with our carefully-selected parts kit, which we think offers outstanding weight and performance along with excellent value. We’ve also just added Intense Cycles to our fleet and the first models we’re carrying, the Carbine 29er enduro bike and the Tracer 27.5 enduro, will be part of the SRAM/RockShox program. Our demo-rental versions of both bikes will have SRAM Eagle GX 12-speed drivetrains and the RockShox Lyrik fork.

Stay tuned for future articles with more information on the Felt Virtue FRD, Felt Decree FRD, Intense Carbine, Intense Tracer and other SRAM/RockShox PCBD-spec bikes.
